This Fourth-Grader’s Letter To His Neighbor Dog Owners Is Melting Hearts Across The Internet

Kids are the purest form of creatures in this world, followed by our canine buddies. Their emotions are real, their behavior is without hidden motives, and their actions are sometimes incredible.

A kid named Troy showed us all how sweet and caring a kid could be.

After noticing his neighbors have an adorable pupper, Troy felt like he needed to do something about it. Perhaps shower him in cuddles and kisses.

But, the situation in the world wasn’t ideal for hanging out. You see, this was back in the pandemic era when we had to keep social distance and stay safe from the virus.

Still, Troy managed to find a way to make friends with a cute pup next door all through a simple form of communication: a hand-written letter.

Oh, the pandemic times… an era we all wish we could forget.

It was one of the roughest periods of time that brought so many new things. Since it’s all behind us, I feel like we should reflect on the pawsitive things that it brought us.

There weren’t many, but there are a few major ones, most importantly – it brought us closer to each other.

Feeling lonely because he wasn’t seeing his friends like before, Troy, a then fourth-grader, noticed he wasn’t quite alone in the neighborhood. His next-door neighbors had a dog, a Golden Retriever pup named Arthur, known as Arthur the Floof.

Troy built up the courage and sent a hand-written letter to Arthur’s pawrents. The note read:

“Hello neighbors, my name is Troy, I’m in 4th grade and I’m just wondering if maybe after this virus you need a dog sitter and if so, I can take your dog on walks and more.”

It was such a sweet message written in red and blue, clearly done by Troy, himself.

Who would say no to a well-mannered boy like Troy who loves dogs so much?

Obviously, not Arthur’s pawrent because the kid and the pupper had a playdate!

The small pupper, Arthur, was delighted to meet a new hooman. Even though there were anti-virus measures, the pup and the kid had a lovely pup-date. A wonderful friendship was born.

“I made friends with a small hooman today. He’s like basically me-sized. I bet I can get him to give me more treats than my hoomans,” said Arthur on his Instagram.

Since the time was ruff and no close encounters were allowed, Arthur and Troy had as much fun as they could while social distancing. However, that didn’t stop the pure friendship from growing.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any photos of Troy and Arthur because Troy is still so little, and we respect kids’ privacy online.

Their photos might not be online, but we all know what is: the letter that Troy sent to Arthur’s mom. The sweet note went viral in no time, and Arthur became quite the celebrity.

“My hoomans told me that me and my fren Troy broke the pupernet yesterday,” Arthur notified his Instagram followers.

Arthur and Troy sure had the Internet melt over their sweet letter.

A lot of things have changed from the pandemic era. In Arthur’s life, lots of pawsitive things occurred. For starters, he grew up into a gorgeous Golden Retriever.

His mom graduated, life was cool, and they lived in Utah and Chicago. Arthur became a virtual world traveler and a superstar.

See, lots of big changes occurred.

Arthur still thinks of Troy and their friendship. Although Troy is a big boy now, Arthur loves to remind everyone how he met a tiny hooman fren who understood him the best.

“For the last day before my birthday, I had to look back on the thing that brought me all you! Thanks to my pal down the hall I made so many internet frens this year. Just as an update, Troy and I hung out a lot before I moved to Utah! This will always be our fav quarantine memory,” said Arthur in one post.

Dogs like Arthur never get forgotten. Kids like Troy grow up into amazing people.

And, photos and videos stay alive forever, especially if they’re featured on Instagram. Head over to Arthur the Floof for flooftastic content.
